Frequently Asked Questions
Where is my game saved?
Mythopia saves automatically, only on your device. To pick up where you left off, tap Continue in the main menu. Your saves are not linked to an account, so we cannot move them for you. On Android, if Google backup is turned on, Android may bring them back on its own (see "Can I move my saved game to another phone?").
How do I start over?
Start a new game from the main menu. To delete everything the game saved (saved games, progress, records and settings), delete the app and install it again; on Android you can also go to Settings → Apps → Mythopia → Storage → Clear storage. This cannot be undone by us: we never have a copy of your saves. On Android, a copy may remain in your own Google backup and come back when you reinstall; you can delete it in your phone's Google backup settings.
How do I change the language?
Mythopia speaks English, Română, Español, Italiano, Deutsch, Türkçe and 中文. The first time it starts, it uses your device's language if it can. You can change the language at any time with the language button in the main menu.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Mythopia works fully offline. It needs the internet only to buy something or to restore purchases; what you have already unlocked keeps working offline. When it is online, it also checks with RevenueCat, our purchase service, so that no purchase is lost (see the Privacy Policy).
Can I move my saved game to another phone?
There is no way to do it through us, because saves are not linked to an account. On Android, if Google backup is turned on, Android may put a recent copy back when you set up a new phone or reinstall the game, but this is not guaranteed. You can also move it yourself: in the game's About card, tap Export save, keep the file, then tap Import save on the new phone. Deleting the app deletes the saves on that device.
What is free, and what can I buy?
The first campaign, The Dawn War, and four factions (Knights, Demons, Undead and Magi) are free. The other four factions, the other campaigns and the complete game can be bought in the game's shop (the cart button in the main menu). Each is bought once and stays yours. Payments go through the App Store or Google Play only.
I bought something but it didn't unlock.
First, check that the purchase went through. On iPhone and iPad, Apple emails you a receipt, and your purchase history is in Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History. On Android, Google emails you a receipt, and your purchases are in the Google Play app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history. Then open Mythopia with an internet connection, go to the shop and tap "Restore Purchases". If it still doesn't unlock, request a refund (see below) or write to us with the date and the product you bought.
I reinstalled the game or got a new phone. Are my purchases lost?
No. Open the shop and tap "Restore Purchases", with the same Apple Account or Google account you bought them with. Your saved games are a different matter: they do not come back with "Restore Purchases" (see above).
I want a refund for an accidental purchase.
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google, not by us. On iPhone and iPad, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, follow Google's guide to refunds on Google Play.
My child made an in-app purchase without permission.
Every purchase goes through the App Store's or Google Play's own payment window; the game adds no question of its own. If a purchase was made by mistake, request a refund (see above). To prevent it in future: on iPhone and iPad, turn on "Ask to Buy" for your child in Family Sharing, or turn off in-app purchases in Screen Time (Content & Privacy Restrictions). On Android, turn on "Require authentication for purchases" in the Google Play app's settings, and use Family Link so that your child's purchases need your approval.
The game won't open / shows a blank screen.
Close the app fully and open it again. If the issue persists, restart your device. If it is still broken, email us with your device model and its iOS or Android version — we'll investigate.
The game froze or got stuck.
Close the app fully (swipe it away from the recent apps) and open it again, then tap Continue in the main menu: the game saves automatically, so you usually lose at most the last move. If it gets stuck at the same place again, write to us and tell us what you were doing (for example: which mission, on the map or in a battle, what you tapped). A screenshot helps a lot.
How do I delete my account / data?
Mythopia has no accounts, and your game data is never sent to us. Everything the game saves lives on your device, so deleting the app (or, on Android, Settings → Apps → Mythopia → Storage → Clear storage) deletes all of it from the device. On Android, a copy may remain in your own Google backup until you delete it there. Your purchases stay with Apple or Google and can be restored. The purchase records that our purchase service, RevenueCat, keeps can be deleted on request. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
