Wardfall
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026 · See also Wardfall Support
Short version: Wardfall is a turn-based fantasy strategy game. The game does not ask anyone for personal information, has no accounts, shows no ads and uses no tracking or analytics. Your saved games and progress stay on your device, never with us. If you buy something in the game, Apple or Google handles the payment, and RevenueCat checks the purchase for us using a random ID that says nothing about who you are.
1. Who we are
Wardfall is made by:

2. What the game saves on your device
The game saves the following only on your device, in the app's own storage (and, like other app data, in your own backups of the device, which we cannot access). It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it:
- Your saved games: the game you can continue from the main menu and your attempt at the weekly challenge
- Your progress: the campaign missions you have finished, your scores, stars and records
- Your settings: language, music and sound volume, battle speed, map zoom and graphics style
- When the game last asked you to rate it, so that it does not ask too often
The game never asks for a name, email address, age, photo or location, and there is nowhere to type them.
3. Purchases
Some content in Wardfall can be bought with real money (in-app purchases). Every purchase goes through the store's own payment window: on iPhone and iPad the App Store (Apple), on Android Google Play (Google). Apple or Google handles the payment. We never see your name, email address, billing address or payment details.
We use RevenueCat to check that a purchase is real so that the game can deliver it. While the game is open with an internet connection (for example when it starts, and when you buy or restore a purchase), RevenueCat receives:
- A random ID that RevenueCat creates on your device the first time the game starts. It contains nothing about you. Deleting the app deletes it, and a new one is made if the game is installed again.
- On iPhone and iPad only: Apple's identifier for vendor, a device ID that Apple gives to all apps from the same developer. It is not the advertising ID, and a new one is given if all our apps are deleted from the device and one is installed again. On Android, no device ID and no advertising ID is sent.
- The purchase receipts from the App Store or Google Play: which product was bought, when, at what price, and in which store country and currency.
- Technical details that RevenueCat's software sends with each request, such as the device's IP address, the device model, the device's preferred languages, the store country, the app's version and the version of iOS or Android.
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, Apple Account or Google account. We can see the purchase records in RevenueCat, but they carry no name or contact details, so we cannot tell who made a purchase. They are used only to deliver purchases, never for advertising or tracking.
RevenueCat, Inc. is based in the United States. It processes this data only on our behalf and on our instructions (as our "processor"), under its data processing agreement, which uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer to the US. The legal basis is that the data is needed to deliver what you buy: to carry out a purchase (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and, at start, to make sure that no purchase is lost (our legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f)). The purchase records stay in RevenueCat for as long as Wardfall uses RevenueCat to deliver purchases; if you ask, we delete a record sooner (see section 6).
Apple's, Google's and RevenueCat's own privacy policies apply to what they process: apple.com/legal/privacy, policies.google.com/privacy and revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. What the game does not do
- No accounts and no sign-in
- No ads, no advertising ID and no tracking across other apps or websites
- No analytics or crash-reporting services
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos
- No chat, no social media and no way for players to contact each other
Now and then, for example after a victory, the game may ask you to rate it. It does this with Apple's or Google's own rating window: your rating and review go to Apple or Google, and the game does not see them.
5. Children's privacy
Wardfall is a strategy game for a general audience and is not made especially for children. Still, it is built to collect as little as possible about anyone, children included:
- United States (COPPA): the game does not ask for or collect a name, email address, photo, location or any other contact details from anyone, including children under 13. The only information that leaves the device is the purchase data in section 3. RevenueCat processes it for us only to check and deliver purchases; it is never used to contact anyone, to build a profile or to show ads.
- European Union (GDPR): the same. We do not ask for, collect or keep a name or contact details of children or of anyone else. The only personal data involved is the pseudonymous purchase data in section 3, used only to check and deliver purchases.
- Purchases: every purchase goes through the App Store's or Google Play's own payment window; the game adds no question of its own. On iPhone and iPad, parents can choose "Always Require" in Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → Password Settings, turn on Ask to Buy in Family Sharing, or turn off in-app purchases in Screen Time. On Android, parents can turn on "Require authentication for purchases" in the Google Play settings, and with Family Link a child's purchases can need a parent's approval.
- There are no ads, no tracking and no chat, so no one can reach a child through the game.
Parents: if you have a question, or if you think your child's information has reached us in some way (for example in an email your child sent us), write to us and we will delete it.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you can ask us (the developer named in section 1, who is responsible for this data) to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how it is used, and complain to the data protection authority where you live.
We hold no name, email address or account for any player. The purchase records in RevenueCat carry no name, only the IDs and receipt details described in section 3, so we cannot link them to you on our own. If you want a purchase record deleted, write to us; to find it, we may need details from your App Store or Google Play receipt, such as the date and the product. If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to answer you.
6.1 Deleting what the game saved
Deleting the app from your device deletes everything the game saved on it, including your saved games and progress; on Android you can also delete it in Settings → Apps → Wardfall → Storage → Clear storage. It cannot be brought back by us, because we never had a copy. Your purchase history stays with Apple or Google, and the purchase records in RevenueCat stay until you ask us to delete them (see above).
7. Data security
The game talks to no server of ours. Apart from emails you choose to send us and the purchase records in section 3, we hold nothing of yours. What the game saves stays in the app's own storage on your device, which other apps cannot read, and is protected by your device's own security. Purchase checks with RevenueCat travel over an encrypted connection.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be published on this page and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. If you keep playing after a change, the new version applies.
9. Questions
For any question about this policy or about how Wardfall handles data, write to the address in section 1.
